Felpham Sailing Club (FSC) offers both Sailing and Social membership. As part of our ‘Community Amateur Sports Club’ status we technically operate as two clubs (one for sailors, one for supporters) – but strive to ensure the experience you get is of one club.
As FSC is a club run by its members for its members we do expect our Supporters Club members to help out in the running of our club, whether in the kitchen, on the beach, helping with social functions, etc. If each member helped a couple of times a year it would make a huge difference to the club. It’s your club so please do get involved.
More details about the different membership types can be found on the membership form. If you have any questions about the different membership types please do not hesitate to contact the Subscription Secretary via email at [email protected] or speak to any member of the committee at the club.
Please note that the membership year runs from January to December and payment is due by end of February each year. New members who join after 1st September in any calendar year have their membership run through to the end of the following year.
New Members
First of all please come and meet us, we want to meet you and more to the point introduce you to other members of the Committee and show you around. The best time to visit is on a Wednesday evening 7.00 – 10:00pm – you will find many members who will be only too glad to answer your questions. If you can’t make Wednesdays, then Sunday lunch times during the season (late March to early November) are good, but you may have to wait for the appropriate person to come ashore (1:00pm ish)!
Please be aware that the club is run by the members and we do request that members assist with the running of the club – this is primarily focused at sailing members and ensuring that racing and safety cover takes place but also extends to beach support and also assisting in the club kitchen. More information about duties can be found on the dedicated duties page of this site.
When you are ready to join the club please do so via our members portal at scm.felphamsailingclub.co.uk/join-begin.
