This year FSC are hosting this popular event – a one-off race between Pagham Yacht Club, Bognor Regis Sailing Club & Felpham Sailing Club.
The race is handicap racing with average laps so suitable for fast and slow fleet boats.
For the Tythe Barn Trophy, points are awarded to the first 10 boats, once the handicaps have been applied:
1st Place = 10.5 points
2nd Place = 9 points
3rd Place = 8 points
4th Place = 7 points
5th Place = 6 points
6th Place = 5 points
7th Place = 4 points
8th Place = 3 points
9th Place = 2 points
10th Place = 1 point
The club with the most points wins the trophy!
Last year was a bit breezy but Pagham YC put on a great race & the 6 boats from FSC managed to retain the trophy.
The conditions this year are looking a bit more favourable: F4 from SSE, a nice reach to FSC for our guests!
Low Tide is at 10:21 and the race is scheduled to start at 12:00 (Sometimes the start is delayed to allow for all boats to arrive from their respective clubs).
We will have a course diagram displayed on an FSC RIB, but all visitors are welcome to beach their boats & use the FSC clubhouse, where there will also be a course diagram.
We hope to have help on the beach for those wanting to come in.
