Coming up at FSC

As the dust slowly settles on a superb few days of Youth Regatta we now turn our attention to this coming weekend.

Youth Sailing is on tomorrow (Friday). Skill Saturday is on Saturday afternoon and whilst that is happening preparations for the ‘Club Tropicana Beach Party’ will be taking place inside. If you’ve not bought your ticket then Friday will be your last chance. It’s pretty much a sell-out but I’m sure we’d be able to squeeze you in if necessary!

If you’re not sailing during the day then why not head over to the Kite Festival taking place all weekend (Sat-Mon) at King George’s field, or visit the Summer Fayre being held on the green in the middle of Felpham Beach Estate on Saturday (childrens games 1pm, dog show 1:45pm).

Sunday at the club begins with the sign-up for the Dinner & Dance – and then the annual Long Distance Cup race takes place.

To ease down after a busy couple of days, on Sunday evening we’ve all been invited to Bognor Regis Sailing Club who have a jazz band playing from 8:30pm. Mention FSC on the door and you’ll pay the members price of £2.50. If we can support our neighbouring club that would be lovely.

There’s also ‘Fox Fest’ at the Fox on Sunday with live music from 4pm and a BBQ as well. ** UPDATE ** Due to the weather forecast this has been now moved to Monday from 3pm. So you have no excuse but to go to Bognor Sailing Club now on Sunday.

Bank Holiday Monday is another busy one at the club with a number of fancy trophies up for grabs including the Veterans Shield, Ladies Shield and Masters Cup. The first race starts at 11am.

We’ll then let you take Tuesday off (and go back to work) and then invite you back on Wednesday 29th for the final race of the Wednesday Evening series.

Busy busy busy!
