WoW – whilst the weather was not good for sailing, we still had a great WoW session which included three interested lady sailors from Bognor Sailing Club.
11 of us met together to learn more about sailing, in a fun way, including having a virtual race between 4 boats (in teams of two/three) using the wooden boats, pieces of chalk, dice and the square floor tiles. Tactics and speed (numbers on the dice!) were key factors in determining who was going to complete the triangular course first! Lyn Batchelor’s team won for the second week running.
This was then followed by an excellent Greek meal prepared by David Hall which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Let’s hope the weather next week is a bit more inviting for a sail. If not we will still have a session.
Please also put the following two dates in the diary where we will be sailing at Bognor Sailing Club with the Bognor ladies: Saturday 9 July and Saturday 23 July. (More details to follow including times, format as well as an idea of which boats we can try out – possibly including a catamaran!)
